The Danubius Grand Hotel Margitsziget was built in 1873 in a tranquil location on the lush Margit Island, in the center of Budapest. The hotel rooms are furnished in a classic style. The windows overlook the Danube or the magnificent park. All rooms are air conditioned and come with a minibar. A heated underground corridor connects the hotel with the neighboring Danubius Margitsziget Health Resort & Spa, home to one of Europe's finest health spas. It features a hot tub, 2 swimming pools and various saunas. In addition, beauty treatments can be booked. The diagnostic department offers a variety of therapeutic treatments. Gourmet cuisine is served in the Széchenyi Restaurant, with delightful park views. Free coffee and croissants are served in the morning. Guests can enjoy international and local cuisine, diet meals and a selection of the best Hungarian wines. In summer, you can dine on the terrace and in the outdoor garden. In the evenings, there is an entertainment program featuring a gypsy band. The island stretches for more than 4 km. It is a protected botanical garden with ancient trees, a Japanese garden, a rose garden and an outdoor amphitheater, as well as numerous leisurely walking and jogging paths. Guests can rent a bicycle, carriage or electric buggy to get around the island, or go horseback riding. Margaret Island is an ideal starting point for exploring the city, as you can get to the center of Budapest from here in a matter of minutes using various types of public transport, including boat. Quality service and a friendly atmosphere make this hotel a very comfortable place to stay.
