Situated on a cliff above the Atlantic Ocean in the western part of Funchal, the hotel is surrounded by stunning subtropical gardens. Guests are offered three heated swimming pools, and from the viewing terraces you can descend directly into the sea water via stone stairs. There is also a tennis court and a modern fitness center with panoramic views. There are four restaurants: the Michelin-starred William restaurant, Villa Cipriani with Italian cuisine on a terrace above the ocean, Pool Terrace and the main restaurant. There is a lobby bar, a tea room and a cocktail bar 1891 Bar with signature drinks. Families can enjoy the services of a children's club. The hotel has a spa center on site, where guests can take advantage of massage services and beauty treatments.

The Michelin-starred William Restaurant offers guests dishes prepared with the finest seasonal ingredients from Madeira, prepared with an inventive and contemporary approach. Guests can enjoy fine cuisine in an elegant setting, complemented by breathtaking panoramic views. The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 19:00 to 23:00 (last order at 21:30). William welcomes children aged 8 and over, however, children under this age are not allowed in the restaurant.
